I've posted about this band/record on here a bunch of times before so im not gonna say much about it, i grabbed this from the guy who runs SFU Records after he had it up on ebay about a month back, i did throw a bid down but didn't end up winning. Lucky enough though he sent me an email the next day asking if i just wanted to buy one from him, so thats exactly what i did.

So i get a message from an old mate of mine up in sydney on saturday asking if i was going to the show that night his band The Bladder Spasms were playing here in canberra and if i was coming along he would have a present for me... Probably about a month or so ago now i was searching The Boston Strangler in google to see if i could find any more info about the LP that is being released sometime early next year on Fun With Smack Records and i stumbled upon a forum post about a promo tape that someone was after from a show they played in new york not too long ago. i had not heard anything about this tape until then and after hearing the 'primitive' track they put up i needed to find a copy. I eventually tracked down the bands singer Ban to see if he had any left or could put me onto anyone that might have a copy for sale, he didnt have any but put me on to the guitarist Cliff and i was lucky enough to score one of the last copies.

This is the latest 7" by canadian powerviolence band Vile Intent out on Diseased Audio Records...
Nothing fancy about this, nice simple B&W layout on black vinyl /300, 6songs clocking in at just under 10min, mind you there is an instrumental track entitled "Gait Analysis" that is about 5min long with about 2min of feedback - if you are keen on bands like Infest and Crossed Out you will like these guys, very fast and angry...

This is a record ive been after for a long time now and was probably in the top 3 on my want list until recently thanks to john coffincut.. I probably don't really need to say much about this, its a reissue of the s/t 7" and was also pressed on black vinyl + another 7" version which was identical to this but on black vinyl, this particular version was so hard to find because it was only sold on a tour they did over in california a few years back and pretty much sold out by the time they got home and i think was limited to only /200?

I feel a bit weird posting about my own band on here but i finally have everything ready for the launch shows coming up this weekend and I'm pretty happy with how the new flexi turned out so i thought id share it with you dudes....

This is being put out by Coffin Cut Records over in Perth and for those of you who cant make it to any of the shows, most of this stuff will be up for sale on the CCR Bigcartel Saturday the 28th of May...

Here is the normal version of the flexi on clear, there is about /265 of these with this artwork done by our good friend Ado down in Melbourne.

There will also be another run of /50 tapes (to start with) with different artwork etc that will be released by US label BEZERKER X RECORDS...

Here we have the latest 7" from southern california's Cold Stare thanks to 'Lifes A Rape'. 4 brand new tracks from these guys in the same style as 86 mentality, Commitment Crew etc. So if you are keen on that oi styled hardcore you should give these guys a listen... (Ex members -Take Offense, Down Again, and Deadlined)

This is the second 7" from these guys, they also have a s/t that was put out by Mind Disease Records back in 2008/2009?... im actually not to sure. Anyways they are both pretty solid records, get onto them.

This is the latest release from Control Records by super group Not Afraid, i cant seem to find where i read what bands these dudes used to be in but I'm pretty sure its got guys from True Colors and Judge... I first heard about these dudes from my girlfriend cause as most people who read this blog may know true colors is one of my favourite bands and not afraid is fronted by Packo who used to front true colors.

I was more than excited to hear this record after i first heard the title track 'Be Yourself' and finally found a download just after the 7" went up for sale. Ive gotta say i was pretty disappointed and the reason for this i think is cause i pretty much had this whole expectation in my head of how awesome this E.P was going to be after hearing that first track and how close to true colors it was. After listening to this record for the first time, the other 5 tracks are considerably different to the one they first posted and now i think of it, it was stupid to think that after true colors broke up he would go onto another band that sounds exactly like his last (as much as i wouldn't complain). But after listening to this record a few times i think its pretty awesome for what it is.

These guys (and girl) are from Austria and are currently touring australia, to my knowledge they were ment to be doing 7 shows in total but i think one of the melbourne gigs was canned and i know for sure the canberra one was cause i was the one putting it on, long story short there was a big fuck around with venues and support bands pulling out and i couldnt do anything else about it.. Ruidosa Inmundicia would have to be my favourite female fronted band around, they play just the kind of fast full on angry HC i love, if you get a chance to go watch RI i suggest you do so, i hear they are one of the best currant live bands around. i am spewing they arnt playing canberra anymore!

this was the last release they did back in 2010 - you can download it out Here if you like or suss out a Track... this 7" and the demo would have to be my favourite 2 releases but everything they have done is pretty awesome.

React Records have just released the 2010 demo of vegan sxe band NOOSE from Chicago USA, this demo was pretty hyped when it was released last year on tape, in my opinion it was one of the top 3 demos to come out in 2010 and im pretty stoked its now on vinyl. i think there were 3 versions of the tape, 1st run was on olive green /200, 2nd was on red /50 and i hear there is a third on yellow with maybe a different cover /???...

Here we have the latest release by Rupture, this 5" was put out by a new perth label called Rest In Punk Records, this was lathe cut in real time on a turntable, on a 5" poly disc, and packed with a vellum sleeve, it was cut by Dion and Mike at Perthectionist in Highgate, Perth.. The two tracks on the record are KBD covers called 'What The Fuck' and 'Job'.. Im not too sure if you can still get this as i think is sold out pretty fast, as it would when there is only a pressing of /60.

ive been looking for this 7" for a while now and have only seen it up on ebay once or twice before and the first time i seen it up i was pretty broke and it went for something like $60 - $70... This time round i was lucky enough to have a bit of cash and win it, it didnt go for as much as it did the other times wich was pretty cool / a good score for me...

For those of you who aren't familiar with NYC Mayhem they later became Straight Ahead and the songs on this record were ment to be released as a 14 track EP but it never saw the light of day for some reason?

Then a label called Revoltation Records from the UK (who i think just put out Bootlegs?) released this in 1990, there is also another version with sleeves that have red print instead of black and dont have blank lables... also RR cut the 1st track off the record wich i hear was an instrumental intro and made it a '13 track EP' for what ever reason?

This is a bit of a weird post for me as i dont really listen to much crust stuff, actually i hate just about all of it, but every now and then ill find something ill really like for some reason or another, here is one of those bands...

This is the latest release from Swedish band VICTIMS thanks to Tankcrimes, this is the pre order edition on clear vinyl + a few other extras.. i really like the layout of this record, the guy from TC did a good job with it all.

Here is a demo tape that has been on my want list for a fair while now, i've had the chance to win this about 3-4 times on ebay i think and always got outbid, but not this time.. this is the second run they did of this demo w/ the yellow cover, white insert and the TDK tape. im pretty sure this is out of /200 but i could be wrong? the 1st run of this tape has a white cover with a green or yellow insert and a blank tape (no stickers writing etc) /100.. i won these tapes within about a week from each other for about the same price, could have even been from the same guy?

I have been after this record for a fair while now and i finally come across a copy that someone was selling on B9 about a month or so ago. My brother got me onto these guys back in 2009/2010 and i have been searching for it ever since..

to me they are a mix between something like Negative FX and 86 Mentality, they were going to put out a 12" on Crucial Response Records but it never happened due to them breaking up or something, but they have recently gotten back together and are writing some new stuff for new record that will hopefully be out this year sometime..

I dont think i really need to say a great deal on this band but for those of you who dont know TC were a straight edge band from belgium who played youth crew that was highly influenced by Youth Of Today..

Some guy a couple a weeks back put a whole bunch of TC records up on ebay including 3 test presses, i was pretty keen to win one of these so i set my alarm for 5am so i could get up and bid... i actually missed out on all 3 of them and went back to bed a cranky dude haha, but when i got up that morning i found i had an email from the guy saying he still had one more test press of the Control Records version of 'consider it done' and i could just buy it from him if i was keen... It was a decent price so i jumped right on it..

I picked up this LP from the band back in december at the Knife Fight, SJN, Extortion show at the arthouse in melbourne.. i was told it was a misspress and was used for the europe tour they did back in 2010, i think the only reason it was a misspress was because the gaps between the songs were too long.. As you can see the in the picture the artwork is a little different to the original and is printed on a thick kind of tracing paper.

I was pretty into this band a few years back but kind of fell off the boat after the first few releases, i just wasnt getting into the new stuff they were doing on the splits as much. the singer used to be in a band called A Poor Excuse prior to FTW, thats how i got onto these guys.. I ordered this from Arrest Records a while back as a pre-order just cause i was curious how they were sounding these days and was keen to own a 10" from FTW. About a week or 2 after i ordered it they linked a new track up on facebook for everyone to check out, i was siked to hear some new suff but was disappointed with the song so i kind of lost interest again. I totally forgot i had ordered the record until it showed up the other week but i gave the whole thing a listen cause its pretty stupid to just boycott the album from 1 track.. All in all i was glad i did buy this record because its pretty damn good, the singer has a similar vocal style to Roger Miret from Agnostic Front..

A couple of mates of mine play in this band based out of melbourne, they were all in pretty awesome bands previous to RA except meatdog, i think this might be his 1st band? anyways they released a demo themselves back in mid 2010 or something and played a handful of shows. after the demo got out and about - i think it was someone from Urban Blight? who also did Combat Action Tapes did a run of 200 more demos for them cause the band only did a small run and everyone wanted one... i hear those 200tapes sold out in something crazy like 5-7 days! i heard A LOT of talk about this being the demo of the year and in every forum i was on, every HC blog i was reading it seemed like someone was talking about this band or the demo.

Six feet Under Records decided it was good enough for 7", so here we have it - the Reckless Aggression demo on 7".. Black vinyl, different artwork to the OG demo tape, /500. In my opinion this was one of the best demos of 2010 and im glad to now own it on vinyl - 8 originals and an awesome 4 Skins cover. i very much doubt you havent heard of this band by now or dont own a download of it, but if you have been living under a rock for the past few months i suggest you get ahold of it somehow.

I spotted this at Clint's (short fuse records) distro he had set up back may 2009 at the Trash Talk/Extortion show here in canberra, i didn't have the cash on me at the time to grab it off him but he happened to save it for me and i never got around to sending him the cash, i seen him a few times in sydney since then and he kept reminding me he still had it if i was keen, he then moved to melbourne and i kind of just forgot about it. I was up in sydney again on the weekend to play a show and clint happen to be in town and came down to the the show with the record...

Anyways this is a pretty sweet 12", its the 'down the drain' tour version and it comes with a screen printed fabric cover tied together with a piece of twine on clear vinyl, i think there was only 200 of these made? i could be wrong so if anyone knows more info on this please let me know..

A fair while back now i got talking to Henk from Kangaroo Records over in Europe, just your usual chit chat about bands/records etc. Not that long ago i hit him up to see if he had any AVO test presses i could buy off him cause i just about own every release and thought i could try complete it with the tests... He told me he might have 1 test of the LP left, he just needed to have a look for it and was in the middle of moving house so it might take some time. He asked if i could send him an Eye-Gouge! Tshirt for the trade... I thought that was a pretty awesome deal so i sent off the shirt and waited for him to get back to me. It was probably a bit over a month before he wrote back saying he had found the LP and the Runnamucks split test that i could also have and if there was any other kangaroo stuff i missed out on... I told him a few bands i was keen on that i never got the early stuff of, he told me my package was on the way and that he chucked in a few extras for me. So the package arrived and i was very fucking stoked to find what was inside, 14 records all up including Out Cold, Toe To Toe, Cardiac Arrest, The Despised and a bunch more. I will post the other stuff soon enough but in the meantime here are the AVO tests...

I picked this up from some Book/Record fair on the weekend here in canberra.. This is some kind of Discorgraphy bootleg on Born To Kill records from Washington DC's State Of Alert. It contains the tracks from the No Policy EP, Flex Your Head compilation, I Was A Teenage Pencil Geek Demo 1980 and a bunch of live tracks from 2 shows in DC in 1980...

So iv been trying to complete my Suffer collection cause i realised the other week i only needed about 3 more things to do so, so i posted on BGO looking to see if anyone had the stuff i needed and was keen to sell... Micky from suffer must have seen i was after stuff and hit me up on facebook saying he had the paint splattered PxH split cassette /20 i needed and i could have it for $8ppd. I thought id post both versions of the tape since i havnt posted the normal one i got a while back anyway...

Violent Arrest are easily one of the best bands to come out of the UK, they play their own style of fast aggressive hardcore that never stops raging from start to finish on any of their records.. I was lucky enough to score this Test Press of the 'Criminal Record - double 7" off ebay a few weeks ago for a pretty awesome price..
